The 5th of September 2024 the “Handball Championships on Viaplay†won “Kristallen†(The Crystal) for “Best Sports Production Of The Year 2024â€, which is the Swedish equivalent of winning a category in the Emmy (TV) Awards.
Kari Heino (Upright Sounds) was Head Audio Engineer (A-Sound/A-ljud) and Broadcast Mixer for both of Viaplay’s Handball Championship broadcasts, which were the Women’s Handball World Championships in December 2023 and the Men’s Handball European Championships in January 2024.
