Upright Sounds is happy to announce that Kari has started to work for TV4’s morning news show “Nyhetsmorgon”. It contains hourly news and weather together with cooking, fashion, guests and bands/artists performing live. The UK/international equivalent to this show would be “The Morning Show” on BBC. It’s a really fun show to work with, even though the preparations start at 4 am!

Today it’s time for Kristallen, the annual official Swedish TV-awards again. Just like last year, Kari is on location in charge of the preparation, Pro Tools editing and playback of all the music elements for the gala including singback tracks for the performing artists.
Kristallen 2010, is taking place in Annexet (the Ericsson Globe) in Stockholm.

Whilst still being in Trondheim for the WOC 2010, Kari was asked to stay for two extra days to work as Assisting Audio Engineer on the qualifying playoffs for the coming Champions League 2011. Funny thing was that Kari was also asked to broadcast the Swedish feed of the same match for Viasat Fotboll (MTG Broadcast Centre) in Stockholm. Too bad it’s impossible to be in two places at once! But working live in the Norwegian and Danish joint studio will be interesting – opposing rival teams sharing the same TV-studio on location!
Other good news is that Kari will start broadcasting the Swedish feed of the Premier League for Viasat Fotboll HD on Saturday and Sunday this weekend as well. Smells like a long autumn of football ahead!

Tomorrow it’s time for the WOC 2010 in Trondheim, Norway. Eight days of filming “lost” people trying to find their way, and it seems like it’ll be a bit chilly and rainy. But armed with the raincoat poncho from Survivor in Malaysia, anything’s possible! The event will be broadcasted live on NRK1 (Norway) and YLE2 (Finland).

Huge news! Kari Heino is today flying to Langkawi in Malaysia to work as Audio Engineer on Norway’s version of the Swedish “Expedition Robinson” (Survivor) produced by Strix Television. It all started with a text message from Norway last night at 9:40 pm and today, 12 hours later, flights are booked and bags almost packed, and the flight leaves in just a few hours. The filming is scheduled until the 14’th of June, with a return flight hopefully the 15’th.
