Exciting times are ahead for Upright Sounds! Kari Heino has been hired to work in SVT Sport‘s Euro 2012 Football Studio, which is located in an old retro cinema called “Bio Rio” on Södermalm in Stockholm. SVT has come up with a really cool concept where anyone can apply for tickets to watch the matches live on the cinema’s Screen 4, where also the build-up talk and interviews take place.

Tickets to the matches shown in the cinema are available upon request at emfotboll@svt.se and are meant for supporters of the playing countries.

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino is happy to have a new client, Mastiff, and to get to work with Mastiff on Trinny & Susannah’s Swedish show Trinny och Susannah stylar om Sverige. Kari has been working as Audio Engineer behind the scenes in the makeover salon where all the magic happens, and later on in the studio where the participants finally show off the result of their transformation on the catwalk.

It’s been a very special experience to hear about the history of the participants’ lives and see their self-image and self-confidence be restored with just a little help and a push in the right direction.

Swedish TV-history was just made tonight! Sweden’s first ever live commercial was broadcasted from the Dressmann store in Vällingby, Stockholm to celebrate Dressmann’s 15 year anniversary. Kari Heino was on location as Audio Engineer with Motions and a Mediatec Satellite Uplink. Three commercials were broadcasted live to TV4 at 17:41, 18:55 and 20:15 from three different stores in Stockholm (Skärholmen, Vällingby & Kista).

In order to make it on time to the second location in Vällingby, part of the production team had to be flown across Stockholm by helicopter! The winner of the tie tying competition in the commercial (hosted by Anton Körberg) got a 10.000 Swedish Krona voucher to shop for (1.125 Euro).

From the 8th of March to the 14th of May Kari Heino will be working as Audio Engineer in Kanal 5’s TV-studio filming the Kanal 5 Play part of the TV-show “Djungelns Drottning” (Queen of the Jungle), which is a Survivor kind of show, but all contestants are young city girls used to clubbing, bling, straightening their hair and blogging.

Being placed right in the wilderness somewhere in Thailand they have to survive and adapt to being outside of their comfort zone of everyday life in the city, with the goal of making it back to civilization.

Make sure to watch the show on Kanal 5 and Kanal 5 Play every Wednesday starting the 14th of March at 21:55.

Kari Heino got a last minute call yesterday to stand-in for Erik Olhester to work as Audio Engineer on “Svagaste Länken”, Sweden’s version of the British quiz-show “The Weakest Link”. The show (episode 14 & 15) was recorded at SVT Drama’s studios with one of HD Resources‘ OB-trucks, which is very nicely equipped with a Lawo MC66 mixing console.

Everything went well and it was a very fun experience!
